The Demon Tweeks | Yokohama Locost Championship offers some of the closest racing in UK motorsport, often with capacity grids. These Locost cars are extremely affordable and are built to the design set out in Ron Champion’s book ‘Build Your Own Sports Car’ (ISBN 1-85960-636-9). Some drivers have built their cars for a few thousand pounds, but this however, requires the builder to do nearly all the work themselves. Nevertheless, the opportunity to enter a race with a self build is something that interests many of the entrants.

how it works
The season consists of between 12 to 16 rounds, with the best 13 scores counting towards the championship. Each weekend features a double or triple header, where two or three races are ran.
As the cars are of very similar design and build, the championships are very competitive. Each race consists of a qualifying heat and a sprint race.
