CASTLE COMBE RALLY DAY

Race Collective spent an action-packed day at Castle Combe Circuit, soaking up the atmosphere and performance of some seriously impressive machinery across Class D. The day gave us the chance to meet drivers, watch close battles unfold, and see just how much dedication goes into building competitive cars.

We met 3 driver and co-driver combinations and showcased them as part of our driver interview series. Please check them out below.

Ady Lawman - Super 1600 Corsa

One of the standout cars was Ady’s Corsa, co-driven by Mark Watkins. The Corsa is a fantastic bit of kit, powered by a 1600cc engine and benefiting from an incredible amount of development. Virtually every component has been replaced or upgraded, and it shows, not just in performance, but in presentation too.

While the car finished around mid-pack in Class D, it was an absolute joy to watch on the straights, sounding phenomenal and holding its own throughout the weekend. Ady’s workmanship on the car is clear, and it’s a testament to the effort behind grassroots motorsport.

Joe Duffy - Lotus Elise Rally Car

We finally made it down to Castle Combe for the rally, and the first thing on our list was catching up with Joe Duffy and Kelan Watkins. If you haven’t seen Joe’s Lotus Elise screaming around a stage yet, you’re seriously missing out.

The paddock was buzzing, but Joe took a few minutes away from the car to chat with us about how the hell he’s making a mid-engined track car look so at home in the dirt.
