The GAZ Shocks 116 Trophy is a one make budget endurance racing series. Participants use the popular and ultra-affordable ‘Mk1’ (E87).BMW 1 Series.
Due to tight regulations, the racing is competitive, exciting and also very affordable.

how it works
The championship is made up of around five rounds. In 2020, each race varies in terms of length of time, they can range from is from 45 minutes up two and even three-hour races).
There are restriction on the modifications and apart from an ECU reflash, control dampers, control tyres and a mandatory roll cage the cars are left otherwise standard.

750 Motor Club membership: £25 for 12 months
Season registration: Sub-£200
Race entry fees: Starting from £300 depending on the circuit and race duration.
Road-going donor cars are available secondhand from just £500,
Total cost of mandatory parts is just £2225.
For under £5000 you could be racing in the 116 Trophy.
