The BTRC British Truck Racing Championship is highly competitive and adrenaline fuelled, with trucks weighing in at over 5 tonnes and producing well over of 1000bhp – it’s a championship and spectacle like no other. 

The series’ roots stemmed (yep you’ve guessed it) in the USA. Starting in 1979, Truck Racing hit Britain not long after and captured the imagination of racing enthusiasts. The British Truck Racing Association was founded in 1984 and has been the governing body and drive ever since.

Representing some of the biggest manufacturers from around the world, including DAF, MAN, Volvo, Mercedes and Renault the championship has for a long time been split into two classes. Both are very competitive and surprisingly quick in terms of lap time.

Division 1 is the top class and features the most advanced machines. Trucks in class one often have bespoke braking and suspension systems and are more powerful. Division 2 is likened towards more production-based machines; with modification restrictions.
