Shenington is another karting club which has RAF roots, namely RAF Edghill – based in Banbury, North Oxfordshire. The first official race was held in 1960 in which 5000 people spectated! In later years, the track went through a number of changes and has had many famous racing drivers acting as chairmen. Also known as ‘Sheny’, the track is a favourite among many drivers and hosts major British events such as the Super One Championship. The track is a very fast with fast flowing left and right hand bends. There are two great overtaking opportunities at the Stratford and Wilkins hairpins which come off the back of two long straights.

The Shenington Kart Club has a friendly buzz and offers events throughout the year covering anything from beginners in Bambino karts all the way up to senior formats. Shenington Kart Club have asked for competitors not to use Shennington village when travelling to and from the track.
