Croft Circuit

Description

Croft Circuit is a circuit located near Dalton-on-Tees in North Yorkshire, England. The circuit has a history of racing since the 1920s, although the track officially had its first racing meeting in 1964. The circuit is just over 2 miles (3 km) long and is based on the land of an ex-RAF airfield, like many other UK circuits. Croft holds various grassroots level events throughout the season in the form of track days and a range of club series. The larger meetings, which bring most of the spectators, come in the shape of the British Touring Car Championship, British Rallycross and Pickup Truck Racing race series.

The circuit has both fast and long straights, although due to a few tight corners it is also deceptively technical. The circuit also has a number of gradient changes and in perspective of modern day circuits, doesn’t have a lot of run-off. This makes it a popular circuit for both drivers and spectators.
